Keying other people's cars is like slapping other people's wives... no respect!

It's about 16" long but not quite down to the metal. Since my car is black this makes the scratch it really noticeable. I've never had this happenned to me in all my years of owning a car. I'm not sure if this can be filled & polished, or entire door needs to be repainted. Any suggestion before I take it down to the dealer?

You must be sick to your stomach. I curbed a rim 2 days ago after owning my car 16 days. I was pretty disgusted with myself.
Sometimes a scratch can be "wetsanded". It will thin down the clearcoat. A professional can tell you your options.
Oh, my 6 month old A5 Cab was rear ended by a motorcycle on 6/15. I have been going back and forth with insurance companies about it. Still not fixed.

You can have these types of scratches repaired for a rather reasonable price... I pulled a bone head move and let down my garage door w/ the hatch open and needless to say - I got two deep scratches about 1" long ea (Down to the metal/plastic above and below the spoiler). I felt like such an ID 10 T... Body shop perfectly repaired it for $150.
