Maybe I'm being dense, or maybe you're in a part of the world with a different configuration. On my car, the trunk is spring loaded and will naturally open when the catch is released. This catch is controlled by a solenoid that opens it when the appropriate button is pushed (key fob, front door switch, trunk "button"). However, there is no physical mechanism or motor to close the trunk by itself, regardless of how you program VCDS. Does your car have such a mechanism?

Yes, This coding is from the A7. This is a US Spec, but if your car doesn't have the auto closing mechanism, then it wont work. I believe in Europe the auto closing trunk feature is available on both A6 and A7 but in the US its only available on the A7.

sorry about that

Gotcha. I peruse both the A/S6 and A/S7 forums and got confused by the use of the word "trunk" instead of "hatch". Yes, the A/S7 has a power hatch, so now the question makes perfect sense. Sorry about that.

Default video in motion for A7

Hi ray101381,

I Read many of your posts and was impressed by your experience & research on A7 tweaks. I recently bought CPO 2012 A7 prestige model. I would like to activate Video In Motion on my car. I saw in few of your posts that you live in Northern Virginia area. I live in Herndon, VA, can you kindly help me in doing this on my A7.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Bala

-Windows and sunroof open and close with remote
-double disarm beep
-close trunk with remote one click
-Vehicle in motion video
-disable phone warning in motion
-show gear selection in automatic D and S modes
-adaptive brake lights in emergency braking
-disable led wink on turn signals
-gauge test needle sweep

it seems most of the B8 mods works for the most part.
