Default A7 a good daily driver?

Hey Guys,
I'm in the market for an A7 and before I make the purchase I wanted to get some feedback on any concerns I should have making this my daily driver. I'm looking at a 2014 Prestige model with around 30k miles. I'll put ~70 miles each day, mainly highway miles. Other then regular maintenance(oil/brakes/tires) what can i expect over the next 100k miles?

It is one of the best sedan I have ever owned. My 2016 A7 has 27k miles and only done servicing and tire changes and going to upgrade my brakes for stronger ones. My dad owns a 2012 Audi A8l. The A8L does 90 miles a day average commute. The current 2012 Audi A8L has 135k miles and very minimal maintenance and replacement of brakes, control arm bushings, tires etc. Otherwise no issues with both of the Audis. Its the best daily driver and solid built car. Its far better than my BMW 5 and Lexus GS I owned in the past.

It's an amazing car. I have a 2014 TDI with over 50K miles. Not a single mechanical issue other than a marker light bulb burning out. I just replaced the original conti tires and the brakes/rotors. It's the only money I've ever spent on it (other than gas) in 3 1/2 years. I don't drive it every day, but yes it would be a great daily driver IMO. Starting to see more of them around, but still rare.

Its great for daily driving. Drove my MY12 daily in Chicago (Heat, Rain, Snow, Ice) and traded it in for a MY15 and still love it to this day. Its a tank in the snow and fun to drive on warm days.

With 30K miles I would check the brake pad / tire life remaining

Default The chassis and 3.0 Supercharged engine is a joy...

We have had that motor, in various tuning in five Audi's. We have had three A6's and the last two were in the C7 era so an A7 was a possible choice. I prefer the aesthetics of the A7, but the sloping roof cuts into rear headroom if that's important. The engine produces so much torque at low rpm's that its speed is deceptive. In traffic, we set the car in "D" and everywhere else in "S". The response is fantastic and the miles melt away. Try to test both a sport and base suspension and then decide. All three of our A6's have had the sport suspension option, but it does ride harder. I bet you will love the car. Make sure you try the seats and go through the full range of adjustments. Some Audi die hards have found them uncomfortable - we have found them to be fine.

Happy hunting...

Eric

Fairly minor issues on my 2014 TDI with 25k driven daily: squeaks from dash area, extra nut found in trunk, buildup on rotors (fixed with resurfacing) & broken driver's seat frame (no idea - came broken at delivery & fixed under warranty).

A very quite and comfortable car. The miles will just fade away in the rear view mirror.

Have the 2014 A6 TDI Prestige as my daily driver. Only have 37,000, but no issues yet. With all the highway driving, you will be tickled pink with the unbelievable mileage this incredible engine delivers. You will find many threads regarding mileage and the extended warranty secondary to the dieselgate settlement on this forum.

I bought my A7 used with 100K miles on it. I've put 19K on it so far and love it. Driven on holiday several times (>500 miles one way) and wouldn't want anything else. Well, except maybe a RS7.
