Anyone know where I can get a new HU
I cant take the "shorting out" anymore..... it only does it when hot or when the bass is turned up. I've posted about this before and have gotten a few suggestions.... but thus far none of them have worked ....

car-part.com under Radio/CD, then cassette.
The lowest priced one I saw there was 40 bucks for a used one.

Audi used 2 kinds of Gammas
one Bose, the other non-Bose. your faceplate will show Bose on it if it's a Bose.
I have a couple non-Bose units in my parts box but I don't have any way to test them.
