This is a lively and friendly community that thrives on good-natured interaction between participants. We all give a little and gain a lot. Many of us have made friends with other Audi fans from around the world...and so can you.

Here are a few suggestions for getting started and making a good first impression:

- Introduce yourself and tell us what you're driving and where you're from. Many of us add the pertinent info (year, drive type, body type, engine type) to our signatures so others can reference it when problem solving.

- There's a wealth of information related to common (and no so common) problems in the FAQ. See the Audi 100/A6 FAQ Digest, which is also linked above. Give it a quick look to see if someone else has already solved your problem. Chances are you'll learn a lot in the process. You may catch a little flack or get a reminder to check the FAQ if you ask a question that's addressed there.

- The 'SEARCH' function will turn up even MORE information archived in past posts. Click the "Search Forums" link above and try a few different combinations of terms related to your question. - Please be nice. As noted above, we try to stay fairly good-natured here. Occasionally we all get a bit grumpy or misinterpret a post and get rubbed the wrong way. You'll find that things work better in the long run if you keep the tone reasonably respectful and fun.

- Photographs truly increase the quality of the help you can get and give. Photos can be uploaded to your Audiworld account and linked to from there. There are numerous other free websites that will host your photo and provide links you can copy and paste into your posts.

- Don't forget to check into the other forums that are related to the C4 A6/100. The "12V Development Forum" focuses on modifications to and performance of the 2.8L V6 engine that our cars share with some other Audi models. There are also forums specific to everything from wheels and tires to audio upgrades for Audis in general. If you don't find the info here consider checking around a bit.
