Went shopping and spent $20,000 today...........
Bought a 2001 VW Caravelle.
Engine is a 5 cylinder ADV series 2.6L 100kw and transmission is 5 speed manual.
These vehicles were manufactured until 2002 in South Africa which I think was about 10 years longer than they were available in the USA.

Re: How 'bout a pic of the engine? Interesting vehicle.
Will post pics of engine when I take delivery next Saturday. Amazing amount of space to work on the engine at first glance.

know here as the Vanagon, imports stop coming in 1990 I think
then VW introduced the Eurovan in 93..
they were rear engine rear wheel drive unlike the eurovan's FWD and you could get a wanagon with all wheel (syncro)
