in case anybody is looking to replace their broken IC chime speaker...(UPDATED)
you can get a free sample micro speaker from <a href="http://www.starmicronics.com/components/components_pages/prod_series/saa-30_series.html" target="_blank">Star Micronics</a>.

Not that everybody is a fan of the OEM chime sound on the IC, but just in case yours stopped working and wanted to put things back working. I needed the sound when I get warnings like 'headlight still on' or 'gas level/coolant temp/pads'.
Just call <a href="http://www.starmicronics.com/components/components_pages/prod_series/saa-30_series.html" target="_blank">Star Micronics</a>(number in the website link) and request a sample. They sent me a pair of that automotive SAA-30 speaker snd some other devices free of charge.
Replacing the speaker involves the same routine as removing the IC for bulb replacement plus removing cluster from glass casing.
Remove the old speaker from the circular casing and by clipping the old terminal legs from the pcb. The distance between the new speaker terminal is narrower than the original speaker so I had to bend the legs apart enough to have them fit the pcb holes.
