Aftermarket warranties: I heard they don't write for CA, but this one says he does...
I got a postcard from Continental Warranty, so I called. The rep (who was new and may be mistaken) says that they are located in California, and write warranties for CA. He said the company was underwritten by "Protective Life", a $13B company.
