Default San Francisco/NorCal A6 Drive, had a great time! (largish pictures)

Put over 250 miles on the car today - took probably 2500 off the tires. Beautiful drive and a lot of fun meeting everyone.
Pooped now after getting up early to wash the beast and coming home to a nice glass of wine, but more images and some video soon.

Thanks again to everyone, can't say enough about how nice everyone is (what'd I expect?!).

A request: please e-mail me your best pictures from the day (hi-res please!) and I'll do a site with everyone's
best shots gathered together. Send comments re the photos too.

Send to this address: LMGotts 4.2

Special thanks to Carl for coming out to photograph us and not driving with us in his Boxster S. ;-)

Prior to the meeting point...Finman doing his now seemingly weekly chore...
(strangely cheerful and good natured, I would'a been a grumpy ***** at that point!):

Default I had to turn on the headlights about noon because it's so dark under the redwoods! Couldn't see the

instruments and needed the lights for those...not really to see the road with.

A crazy woman (it's California!) jogging "challenged" me as I was going probably 60-70 in my 4200 lb. A6! As she had a jogging partner, I'm sure that checking her dental records will not be necessary....

NorCal: she probably felt all those cars going so fast was just, just...just wrong!

Was really a lot of fun - the California coastline is just gorgeous (even though right on the coast we were fighting a little bit of fog).

BobTA6 would have flipped his lid at the scene: 10 or so A6's driving with front AND rear fog lights on.

Default Damnit! I knew that question would happen...just not so quickly.

As appear in photo (not by car):
Finman, LMGotts, Jeff S 4.2, JimBob? [didn't get introduced], ChrisJB (with little one!), Wireless, Stoney (and his wife with Audi flag), Metz, allroadguy, and alibaba. What a great bunch!

I'm just **** when it comes to remembering names, and can only hope that I wasn't introduced to the two guys who I don't know about!

Even worse....I hope I'm not wrong about anyone. Yikes!

Default Special thanks to Sheirah, April, Larry and stoney as well as

EVERYONE else who went out of their way to make sure that I forgot about what happened yesterday and last week! What a wonderful day. I would have loved to have driven my Nemo, but this was definitely a worthy second best choice! As a driver I can tell you that being a passenger is both more stirring (!) as well as an eye-opening experience! Folks, these cars we love are really something else. TO appreciate them more take a stirring drive as passenger! But I have had my eyes opened to the TRUTH that is ALFA! Thanks, April, you were truly a remarkable pilot! I will never forget! Thanks again all, this is a great group we've got here!

Default LMGotts: You are a fine driver!! That jogger was just jealous!

I still say the jogger's red outfit hid the major injuries! Strange but true. I was riding shotgun with LM at that point and this jogger just comes out from the side of the road to the middle of the lane right as we pass by. I guess she just wanted a better view of all those gorgeous Audis!!
