Service manual chapter for replacing fuel filter?
I'm new to Audis and I recently bought the ebahn electronic service manual. For the life of me can not find any information about replacing the fuel filter in this manual. Nothing about which filter part number to use to use and nothing on the procedure for doing it. Searching did not reveal much of anything.
Any help?

Tech article
Much simpler than this.. the filter is just under the rear passenger door bend and see you can see it.. It is a
Bosch - Fuel Filter ES#798 from ECS Tuning
or
71060 Bosch Fuel Filter; 125x75mm; 14mm Inlet x 12mm Outlet from Autohausaz.com
I also recommend you get an Airfilter and a cabin filter at the same time and you could then save on shipping..
Search the forums and you will get more details on the replacement etc.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng49.shtml">https://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng49.shtml</a</li></ul>

My notes on Fuel Filter change.. - Fuel Filter Picture
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/38404/img_0031.jpg"></center><p>
Hope these are useful enough.. just remember that infamous bolt with spin and not open so be careful on how you try to open it... Many people have cut the bolt and just used some tie wrap...
Also the fuel filter in the C5 is mounted on the side of the fuel tank much easier to access and change that shown in the Tech article for the S4
Just bend under the passenger side rear door and you should see it..<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/784947.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/784947.phtml</a</li></ul>

jeez no wonder I couldn't find it
I have never seen a fuel filter back on the tank like that. I have always seen them mounted in the engine bay.
Thanks for the info.

It looks like my filter.. compare it to the installed one.. size shape etc.
Be sure to check the Banjo connection sizes on the inlet and outlet side... you just cannot reverse install if it is the correct filter as the Banjos are different sizes altogether. Also you will need a total of 4 copper crush washers two on each side and each side is a different size again..(2 large + 2 Small)
Although I rather buy a Bosch filter for a $1 more than a no name filter..
My car is a 2001 2.7T
