VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!
Well, there's a first for everything. The A6 suddenly (VERY SUDDENLY) lost power on the way home (2.7t and 4.2 kids keep quiet..) and rolled to a halt.. as in, died. Dead. Not moving. Not running. Not starting. NOTHING. MIL was on. I assumed that it wasn't getting fuel, based on the way it died ever so smoothly. As luck would have it, it died within the last mile of my drive home that I still had cell coverage. Yay for that. Phoned in-laws. They have a big ass truck. Perfect. FIL came along and we flat towed it to my house (about 4 miles). Amazingly enough, his truck had enough grunt and grip to pull my totally dead car up my crazy driveway. Started ripping the interior out (oops, forgot that the A6 pumps are under the back seat. That would have saved me some time.. Damn.) Relay clicks when it's supposed to. Hooked direct power to fuse #28 on the out side, and there's power at the pump, but it makes amazingly little (read NO) noise. Yippie! Have not opened it up to inspect the wiring from the top to the pump. That's tomorrow, when i was supposed to be working on my A4's laundry list of expensive parts to replace.. Mother F'er. Audi gods are pissed at me for sure.
