    Washer fluid, likely leaking from the headlight washer pump...

    ...which rests a bit higher in the tank than the windshield washer pump. They are known to crack.

    Not a terribly difficult DIY repair. This Tech article for a B5 S4, but the process for our C5 platform cars is nearly identical...
