Still trying to get rid of some emissions related gremlins that are preventing me from passing the MA state inspection. I've already replaced a faulty O2 sensor but am still getting one remaining code:
P0113 - bad inlet air temp (IAT) sensor The (trusted) mechanic I'm working with is going to be working on it this coming Tuesday. First thing he's going to try is reseating the sensor cable - this can be done without removing the exhaust manifold and is therefore an inexpensive attempt to solve the problem. If that does not fly, he'll have to remove the exhaust manifold, replace the IAT sensor, replace the gasket for the exhaust manifold, and put 'er all back together. Worst case scenario is estimated at $400 (give or take a bit depending on the cost of the IAT). Thoughts? Feedback? TIA
