Have an 1999 a6 2.8 who's getting a little angry with me. Got it about 9 months ago, and things have been going downhill. Has about 124,000 miles, so I'm wondering if the whole thing is going to end up breaking down or if I can save its poor life because I do love it. I recently noticed it had some serious transmission issues (tiptronic) so now I usually use the e-brake whenever parking on any sort of incline, but lately I've noticed this little delay when starting the car. I'll turn the key, it starts, but it starts at a real low RPM and then brings itself back up within a second. I didn't think much of it until it actually didn't start yesterday when doing that...I tried it again and it started fine, but now I'm worried. Any suggestions? Ideas? Oh, and I'm a college student with no extra cash and limited car knowledge.... please help, I'd greatly appreciate it...
