my adoring co-pilot has suggested a birthday present of a new exhaust for the S6. Not looking for HP gains, just an enhanced sonic presence for the spectators and others in our wake. I've gone through the archives in nauseating detail and find not much for S6's. Why mess with perfection? Most posts are for regular 4.2 upgrades - the majority to Milltek but a few to RS6. I can get the RS6 sound enhanced "relatively" inexpensively but do I need to be concerned with backpressure/phase issues with an exhaust designed for turbos on the NA S6? If there's no issue since we're not messing around forward of the cats, great. But if it is an issue I need to know. First choice would be either the MTM or Cargraphic system (NOT with the interlocking tips, thank you). Both are crazy expensive - more so now with exchange rates... The Milltek, to me at least, sounds exactly the same on every 4.2 (S6 or not) unless you also go with the downpipes but I was really only looking to do cat-back. Supersprint and Eisenmann also have S6 systems. The Supersprint seems well received but there have been a smattering of presilencer issues where folks (Goodwoody, I think) subsequently removed the Supersprint resonater and re-installed the original. FWIW the Supersprint S6 system is identical part numbers as their C5/A6 setup. I would have thought there would be some differences between the two exhaust systems, given they are two very different motors. Eisenmann is not catback - mufflers only. Apparently they don't think they can improve on the S6 resonator??? Seems absurdly expensive for just two mufflers. I know there's always the custom fabrication route, but I'd prefer something designed and tested expressly for the S6 if I'm removing the stock system.

So, what have you other S6 owners done??? Just leave well enough alone?
