I just ordered a set of universals. My mechanic in Michigan told me that is the way to go, and for about $160 for all 4 he was right. I can take it to a garage and I do not know how much they will charge to reset or run readiness codes, but the cable complete with software from VAG-COM, that you run yourself from your pc or laptop, which is really cool...If you had this cable you would not need a a garage to run or reset codes. You can also do a lot of cool things with the software like program locks(1 touch) and windows to roll up and down with the remote, I had mine done. Thats why I was hoping to find a local enthusiast with this epuipment. Check out Ross-Tech website and you'll see what I mean.
