    If they are 3-piece, rim halves can be replaced--not very hard and maybe even DIY.

    I used to do a lot of work with HRE and Fikse wheels. We changed out the rim halves all the time, sometimes to get different widths, sometimes to powdercoat/anodize the centers a different color. Not hard to take apart. If you bend one, it'll be the rim, not the center which I assume is forged. Don't be scared of custom wheels. If you can afford them, then the cost of repairing one is relatively insignificant.
