Would the new paddle shifting steering wheels work on my 03?

I have been cruising around in the new S-Line A4 this weekend and I am really enjoying the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Do you think it would be possible to swap that wheel with my current one? I have an '03 A6 2.7t with tip shifting on the floor. I do not have tip buttons or anything like that one the wheel. In fact I pretty much have no controls on my current wheel. The new wheels have all sorts of controls on the steering wheel including the paddle shifters. Do you think there is a way to swap wheels? Has anyone done that yet? Any idea on the cost? Would I have to run wiring, would it even be possible?
