I haven't yet send the unit to them, it takes a bit for them to answer by email,plus now I need to co-ordinate my rides, because at least I will be down for two weeks, reason cheapest way to ship to them is through Local postal service as oppose faster courier which charges more for shipping , I am ok with that.

Regards the mileage, when you fill the order they ask you for your reading of the cluster at the time of the shipment, they will verify when the cluster arrives, they will not touch or reset any immo data or mileage data, they will replace only the LCD screen and test it for functionality, this is to avoid having any issues when you install your cluster back into your car..
The immobilizer will not be lost once it is program in cluster stays there unless you request to be cleared, even if you remove your cluster from car and put back in 6 months it will work in your car..

the last part is it worth it?
well for those that are under warranty are covered , for those that are out of warranty like myself, well it plays the $$$$ factor. example:
for me to replace cluster it will cost me
1400 us for refurbish cluster that dealer sells and they will give me ~ 280 us credit for mine defective so at the end I am still out 1120 us , so even if at the end cost me ~280 us to get it fix I am happy with that,
