Default Radio Removal frustration continues...and splash guard Q's

So I have tried about everything to get my radio out, the removal keys just slide in, don'e seem to do anything at all. I wiggle it and pull up and out but it just does not budge. any thoughts on alternatives? where could I slide something in to help.

Ok, so I am full of questions today. During our wonderful 2 stage blizzard here in Denver I managaged to rip off my splash guard. Car was great in the snow (Michellin Alpin Pilots) Has anyone found this part somewhere other than the dealer? BlauParts indicated they only have a kit with the fasteners.

thanks to everyone!

2000 a6 4.2. yes...I am still shoveling snow

Default your account is dangerously familiar...

I had no idea the clips would break so easily, though I never felt anything break. I have the same exact issue, except none of mine feel loose. I will continue to work on it when it gets warmer. Will let you know if I ever get it.

Default Which radio keys did you purchase?

I purchased some "keys" from Metra and they did not work AT ALL.

Ended up spending $20 dollars on keys from Enfig Car Stereo.
<a href="http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/42ND_42_002.html">Enfig Car Stereo's 42nd Draft Designs Audi Stereo Removal Keys</a>.

These things worked like a charm and actually made removing the radio a simple task

Hope this helps.

Well, I have two different sets. both very generic bought on ebay. I just took a look at your link and will give those a try as well. Thank you!

Default I made my own "keys" after doing a search and finding this.

Radio came right out. Don't spend money by buying the keys.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/446861.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/446861.phtml</a</li></ul>
