Inexpensive resource for Xenon bulbs out there?
One of my Xenon's has lost its pigment and is a redish/purple hue now. I understand they should be replaced in pairs but the dealer quoted $208/ea!, which means after tax thats a good $450.00 for a lightbulb, no thanks.
Anyone have an alternative? I cant trust eBay because I dont know the exact part number or spec (Hella, Sylvania?)
For a 2000 4.2
Thanks.

...........
$154/ea. at alloemaudiparts.com
$138/ea. at 1stvwparts.com
Thats probably as cheap as you'll get them.
Part # is N 104 457 01 (same for left an right)
according to the parts list in the link below.
Good luck, stranger...<ul><li><a href="http://members.***.net/jmess5/A6C5PartsList.pdf">http://members.***.net/jmess5/A6C5PartsList.pdf</a</li></ul>

I thought the Hella were OEM for our vehicles?
Our headlamps and tail light covers are Hella, with logo's and all...
I already checked eBay but there is a lot of junk on there as well, which makes finding the correct OEM bulbs difficult.

Well, compared to his dealer quote, it's quite a bit cheaper....
I can't think of a cheaper source for new, OEM goods.
I'm not sure about the eBay stuff others have mentioned...
