anyone know of a good source for refurbbed auto transmissions for an A6 4.2?
It's a friend's car, it definitely needs a new one.
It's tranny code is EVS-ECF I'm pretty sure, 99 or a 2000. A local shop wants about 5700 for parts and labor to do it, seems a bit steep considering they're asking around 4200 alone for the part new from Audi. Just trying to find a cheaper source for the part.
I'm sure this has never been asked before :P

doesn't even need a performance upgrade...
Right now it looks like the car is having trouble going into reverse on any kind of incline. Will level 10 do a straight up rebuild?

Level 10 is great.but the 45- 5000 would be in just parts. I have a low mileage trans
that I have left over from my 6 speed conversion if he needs it. I dont have a use for it so if he gave me 1000$ he could have it. I dont know if this helps
