    I agree with you that the current LED I've got in there is a bit "intrusive." I'm hoping to find a better one that has a more natural/integrated appearance on my next trip to a GOOD electronics store (got that one at Radio Shack).

    That said, I don't think I'd go for what you've shown -- that's a little TOO discrete for my tastes. But, I think I may have a taker...

    BD is hoping to repeat the install I did but has been struggling with where to put the LED (he does have a rear sunshade and so has one less button spot than I do). A few questions on those little LEDs you embedded into the button: How small are they? Could you fit them in there and run the wires if the faceplate were mounted on top of one of the OEM switches? Where did you get them? If so, that may be a resolution for BD's challenge.
