Not much to add to your setup..it's really complete.

I've experienced your frustrations with LED's...I integrated a series of LED's for monitoring my intercooler misters into the V1 display...


...four red are status lights confirming signal input for power, ambient temp, injector duty cycle and intercooler temp...yellows indicate the duty cycle and temp threshholds have been exceed which initial the ecu to spray the misters...which is the green LED.

Anyway, one thing I would consider changing on your setup is that intrussive LED...

Given your setup, I would suggest inserting the LED(s) into the switch...like this..





Also, I understand your desire to have the main unit away from the visor(s)...but performance is serious degraded with that down low mounting location.
