Default Robert Gedeon, sir, your DIY's are awesome! H-Sport must read!

Just did my rear H-Sport bar last night. I ran out of time to do the front, so that'll go on tomorrow. The details in your writeup are perfect--thank you!

To everyone else, I can't stress enough how important it is to have ratcheting flex-head wrenches, as he mentions in his DIY. It's REALLY tight around those end link bolts. Unfortunately I do NOT have said wrenches. Realizing that even my 1/4" socket wouldn't fit either side, I went to work w/ the box end wrenches. I spent at least 1.5 hrs total removing/reinstalling 2 end link bolts. That's a long time on your back w/ your neck craned to the side (and a Toureg torch in your mouth, if you don't finish before dark) that can be easily avoided w/ a ratcheting flex wrench.

HINTS
1) You'll need a 16 mm wrench for end link bolt removal, and because the new bolts w/ the kit are a different size, a 17mm for reinstall.
2) Working w/ the end link bolts is much easier w/ the exhaust hanging up and out of the way.
3) If your any fatter than the average German, Rhino ramps are just barely high enough. Taller ramps would make it much easier.

Just search for "H-sport Newcastle" and you'll easily find Robert's DIY. 8^)

Default Ha! Thanks, kind sir! Glad it was helpful.

I need still need to edit it to make reference to the new 17mm bolts.

Good luck with the rest of the job! I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride...

Default Thought about that, but doesn't the suspension need to be under load?

I couldn't see a good spot to put a jack stand under there that would keep it loaded.

I put a jack under the rear knuckle to align the sway bar end links with the sway bar
