Default Vag Com all the info and pull out your old airbag module

and write down all the numbers on it. You can call Clair auto 1-800-354-5100 and have them price you a new airbag module to compare w/ your dealer's markup. You will need Vag Com to see the coding of the old module and to code the new module correctly.

Default Call the breakers

I'd check salvage yards first.

Default I hate to recommend them but www.shokan.com

Just make sure the unit is working and get it in writing.

Default You could say that

I've been around Audis for 10 years and Shokan hasn't always had the best reputation. They do, however, have a ton of Audi parts.

Default My story...

I bought a RS 6 wheel for like $150 less retail and was told it was in "Excellent condition".

It arrived and was all scratched to hell, so I had a place try and refinish it.

Refinishing looked like crap, so I didnt pay.

I put the wheel on eBay.

I get an email from a Shokan rep that that wheel was from a horribly crashed RS 6 and is not safe to sell.

I cused the guy out and said "It was in excellent condition when you charged me $300 for it".

Needless to say, they never responded and are lucky their business is no where near Chicago, or they'd have a harder time running their business if you catch my drift.

Default Re: Call the breakers

Well, they're telling me to get the number off the old module. It's in back of the dash if I've searched correctly. I'm scr**d.

What's the labor cost going to be? Oh hell.

Default Here's a thought, leave broken and trade in..

Will I really lose 2K on the value of the car on a TO?

The only reason I'm fixing it is to sell it.

Definetly get a list of the codes from it. I found a used one for $200 through car-parts.com
