Default The only one available in North America that I could find was made by Da'lan

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/90392/img_0188.jpg"></center><p>It is not really invisible. And infact, it is starting to rust after being installed for about 1 month. Unfortuately it is you only real option.

There is the Allroad hitch that tucks up out of the way, but I could not find anyone who successfully installed it on a A6 sedan.

Also, I found one in Europe that mounts on the sedan, and is hidden like the allroad hitch. Only thing is that the site was in German, and it appeared to be over 1000 euros and special order. Sorry, I cant remember the name of the company, but I found the info somewhere in the archives.

Dalan hitch is class 1 only by the way. Allroad is class 2 and it replaces the entire rear beam in the bumper.

Default etrailer.com for hitch. If you could mount behind the rear valence

you could cut an access hole in the valence and make a custom insert when not in use.

Default Dont think your custom insert idea would work with that hitch.

It is pretty much the same design as my Dalan (might even be the same rebranded) and the hitch sits very low.

I looked at my car, the valence hugs the body too close to get a hitch behind it.

Default What sort of hitch do you use in the US? Is it a 50mm ball? If so, then you could buy....

one the same as mine.

I have some more pics in my PP.

Once installed it is completely invisible and rated at Audi's recomended towing limits.

The only caveat is whether it will clear the US spec rear bumper?

I can provide meassurements if that is of any use.<ul><li><a href="http://www.witter-towbars.co.uk/towbars/vehicle_technical_details.aspx?VehicleID=214033884 2">Witter.</a></li></ul>

Default That one looks great.

I would have bought that if it was available in North America.

Couple of questions:

Do you know what class it is?

Can you also fit a 1 1/4 inch or 2 inch receiver instead of the ball (I use mine for a bike rack so this would be imperative)

How long does it take, how much effort is involved in attaching the ball attachment?

Once attached, does the ball attachment have much flex or sway, side to side, or up and down?
