Glad you guys worked it out. I only get credit for bookmarking the excellent post. PS: yellow...
... makes sense to me, at least if you face real fog. For me, I keep them white and use as running lights on cloudy days. Saves the Xenons.

By the way, many have noticed connections burning. Best to add solder to the crimped connectors.
At least, do this once: after a long drive with JUST the fogs on, open the fuse panel and check for heat at all the crimp connections. There is plenty of current through there.

I save the Xenons by running yellow fogs too, and BTW they kinda match side markers(orange lghts)...
...that are used as parking lights in the US. In europe we have i believe 10 or 15 Wats white lamps, as most of you know...
