Default EDIT: Source for replacement Xenon bulbs? (& can I safely increase the brightness?)

Is it advisable to upgrade to a brighter bulb?

Default There are many sources just for bulbs, but you want to stick with Philips brand..

...

Yes you can "upgrade" to a brighter bulb, but up to a certain point.

4300K (Kelvin) is what is stock.

5000K is what is used to match an older bulb with a new replacement if you are doing one side.

6000K is the maximum I would recommend. It changes the color a bit to a Purple hue.

After that, the color you see changes, but the light output decreases.<ul><li><a href="http://www.xenonfactory.com/products/hid/bulb.htm">I've ordered from them</a></li></ul>

Default Someone recently posted about a guy on e-bay that sells them for a low price and seemed reliable...

it's either the B5 or B6 S4 forum, or this one; as those are the main ones I frequent and I saw this post earlier this week.

Default Very true. I had the pink/brown light syndrome and replaced both from the dealer. But I would like

to get the 5000K or 6000K bulbs 5speed6 mentioned below.

Default Found it...

Supposedly this guy sells decent stuff. Couldn't find the AW post, but found it in my browser history from this past Monday. No personal experience with this ebay seller.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-New-OSRAM-Xenarc-D2S-Xenon-HID-bulbs-OEM-66040-LEXUS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ36476QQitemZ80283 14906QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-New-OSRAM-Xenarc-D2S-Xenon-HID-bulbs-OEM

Default That would be me...and thats the seller

Identical Osram Xenarcs to the ones I removed. For ~$50 shipped, couldn't pass it up. Been in the car ~3 months now, no complaints.
