Default Tiptronics will not shift up

I hardly ever use tip on my 2001 A62.7T, so I don't exactly know what might have caused this problem:
the tip will only shift down, not up.
The only situation where the shift up is performed is when it is done automatically from 1 to second gear when you start moving. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot

Default Sometimes the electronics, but often the magnets under the shifter plate

that tell the transmission computer the location of the shifter and whether you've moved the lever.

If you search the forum, you'll see that the topic has come up a number of times.

Default Hey! If you reverse the magnet will it reverse the shift direction?

so that forward is downshift and back is upshift.. like in most race cars?

No, you would have to invert the sensors on the circuit board for that to work
