Default Found the cause of my clunk & vibration!

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/92320/cimg0299.jpg"></center><p>This is certainly the cause of the clunk!

I jacked the car up and have about 3mm of lateral movement in the wheel (None vertical) so I'm pretty certain this is the cause of the resonance/vibration that I've been feeling lately.

The question is, is likely to be expensive?

Default PIckup the S4 ends.

They're considerably more durable than the 2 piece design.<ul><li><a href="http://www.purems.com/products/description.php?II=1096&amp;CA=565&amp;PA=7">S4 Tie Rod Ends</a></li></ul>

Default No.

The Febi-Bilstein control arm kit includes OE replacements meant for the A4/A6. The S4 tie rod ends are a slight bit different, being 1 piece instead of 2 piece.

The Febi-Bilstein kit does feature tie rod ends that have a larger ball joint that original models, so they are the revised, newer model ends.
