Default my initial impressions of the Hawk HPS pads with stock rotors

So I finally got sick and tired of my warped rotors, and since I had less than 15% pad left on the front I decided to go forward with a complete brake job.

New factory rotors front and rear, fresh brake fluid/flush, and Hawk HPS pads front and rear due to my past experience with Hawk pads on the BMW's I've since parted with.

My thoughts? Just as I was used to with previous Hawk pads, these things are great. Gone is the initial grabbiness of the stock pads. I could breathe on the stock pads and they'd provide too much initial bite. Now, I have a softer bite when initially braking and here's where it gets better. Due to them being a combo street/track pad, once they get hot the coefficient of friction increases and I get excellent braking with repeated stops. I'm still in the bedding in process (man does it take awhile - esp the rears which are only 50% bedded) and will report back later. I like what I'm feeling so far and would happily recommend the HPS's to any other fellow AWER.

Default Bedding? Follow the stoptech guide...works evertime for me...

As long as you don't mind the acrid smoke that emits after the process! StopTech Bed In Procedures

I just installed the Axis Ultimate pads...Haven't been running them long enough, but have heard they dust like crazy...which will make me crazy. I'm not sure how long I'll keep them.

Axxis pads are dusty, but perform well on the street. I like the Hawk HPS better, tho.

Default I totally agree, Hawk HPS pads are a very nice pad, for a combination...

of good bite, low dust, not much fade under repeated stops.

Exact impression I've had as well. A bit easier initial bite, plenty of braking power when pushed

Default I like them too. Very gradual grab and low dust. Prior pads were EBC Green...

... and I liked them too.
