S6 Grill
I understand that the S6 front grill comes in 2 colors. ie. metallic granite and black. Any idea which color is more suitable for brilliant black A6? And also what is the standard grill color for a brilliant black S6?

Ive never seen it in anything but one color, you sure?
It is a lighter gray in color though.

Part number for the black S6 grills are
Top Grill : 4B3 853 651 F 5PV (black)
Bottom Grill : 4B3 807 647 E 5PV (black)
For the granite metallic (aka grey) the code should end with 3SR.
Can anyone varify if the above is correct?

be sure they aren't selling you an A6 4.2 grill
i just went through this last week. i needed a replacement lower grill for my 02 S6. they looked up the part number and told me it was "the same" as a 4.2, which is black. i had them look the same code up for an 03 and it came up with the "correct" grill. S6 grills are dark gray metallic and have dominant vertical bars rather than the horizonal ones for normal 4.2 black grills.
funny part is the "normal" one is $280+ while the special S6 one is $130...go figure.

That probable explain why there is a "black" S6 grill.
Am I right to say that all the S line grills are metallic granite gray in color with 3SR color code?
