Default Looks great! I've been wanting to do this on my car

but have concern about the rear parktronic. Love those tips, who makes them?

Default Looks great! Would you or B-D mind emailing me the location and approx. cost?

Since I'm a local, and the mod weather is coming, I think I might want to get this done.

TIA.

Default And while we're on the subject of exhaust tips, anyone know where I can get RS6 tips?

I don't necessarily want the whole exhaust, but I really like the look of the blackened oval tips. Anyone have a sourse for OEM or something that looks like OEM? Thanks!!

Regards,
Chris

Ps- I tried to STFA, and got nothing on a source. A few people seem to have cut them off a full sport RS6 exhaust...which seems like a $$$ way to get the tips.

Default Magnaflow #35121 4" double wall angle cut SS tip

you can get these online at fle-online.com. Free shipping for orders over $50.

As far as the parktronic, the outeermost sensors have to move a bit, but it is easy to do...

This from JMacs2.7T's car...

Default It's just common door edge molding, mine is chrome too...

Jmacs2.7T had this done, but had it lined with black door edge trim. Looks a bit more OEM.

Default Here are the basic steps...

Drop the exhaust
Cut the angle-down tips (leave enough to weld new tips)
Weld on the new tips
Paint welds with zinc primer to avoid rust
Mark center of new tip on lower valence
Do series of cuts until the tip just fits into the opening
Raise the exhaust
Mark around the tip for final cut for at least 1/4" clearance
Drop exhaust again
Make final cut
Line with door edge trim (black or chrome)
Raise exhaust
Done!

Of course, if you have rear parktronic, the outermost ones have to be moved, but they still function just fine!

If you're within 3 hours of Boston, make a road trip and get it done here. It's worth it.
