Default Dension iceLink Install A6

So I will start this by saying, I have never taken apart a car before, the most I do is put gas and oil in the car ;0 and leave all the other stuff to the "Pros". However I thought I would give this a try.

It was actually very easy to get installed and setup using the CD Changer hookup. The iceLink Plus is great, the sound is great, my only knock on them is that it shipped with a very old Firmware and the support from them so far has SUCKED!

Anyway.. I can live with it as long as it works.

So I started off by opening up the door for the CD Change and also poping the plastic rivits from the top so I could pull back the panel to best snake the cables to the front.

Then I took off the latch for the webing hooks (what ever its called) this allowed me to put the cable to the back with out having to take off any part the back pillar or the part of the seat on the pillar.

Next comes the backseat. This was pretty easy as many have had good articles on how to take it off. For the first time since I have had the car I sat in the back seat, right in the middle. Put both hands to my side and lifted up hard. POP and the seat is off. Then get out and slide it out. I disconnected the heating cables to get the whole seat out.

Then It routed the cable under the carpet to the passengers side. There I removed the plastic cover on the seat slide.

This allowed me to route the cable up and into the center console. This is where I have the actual ICE->Link module.

The hard part was it would have been easier with kids hands, but I managed.

You can lift the right part of the console up to access the space under there and bring the cable up. I also was able to bring the iPOD holder cable to the center as well.

A screw driver helps to tuck the cable under the plastic so you can not see it.

A Proclip angle mount and we are all done.

The only thing left is to Edit the Images to put the Audi touch on it.
