Default Removing Center Console

Ant tips on removing the mirror adjustment switch on the center console of a 2004 A6?

Default Easiest way is to...

remove the shift surround (shift into 3rd gear, then pull up slightly on rearward end of trim piece, then slide out towards rear of car (two very big tabs holding it in under the ashtry).

Once the shift surround is out, simply reach under the console with a finger and pop out the switch from underneath.

If you have a manual, I am not sure if this will work. Sorry, left my Bentley at work today. If you are manual, I will try to get back to you tomorrow.

Thanks. Worked. Last and final question . . . any idea which wire is the hot and ground on the mirror adjustment wiring harness? Need a hot to tap into.

Default Not sure, but Audi typically uses brown for ground wires

to be safe, get a voltmeter and test the wires.
