Dension has killed their iPod adapter for the trunk CD changer port.
I ordered one of these a while ago and it didn't work. Yesterday I received one for mounting behind the deck itself. I called them today and they told me (for the first time) that they had discontinued the trunk adapter, because it was no good. So if you get one of the new IceLink v1.1 adapters for your iPod, they will no longer sell you the trunk version. They said the deck version is much better quality, anyway, so I'll be happier...except that it's a bigger pain in the neck to install and now I get to uninstall the other one.

I have the pin removal tools for behind the Symphony I if you need to borrow them..
<center><img src="http://www.asttool.com/images/cars/vw_audi/specialty_tools/vw_audi_sptools_8.jpg"></center><p>..not the radio removal tools. These are wire terminal extractors for the female pins within the black 20 pin adaptor.
I'm not familiar with the Dension units...but I bet they have to tap into the CD changer input behind the SymI..which is the 8 pins from the black 20 pin connector. This probably means they give you a bulky adaptor harness (like the blitzsafe) to enable that interface..when only you need just those 8 pins.
I spent the $200 ($100 each) on these tools for my Nav+ install and I have been lending them out to folks all across the country.
For the 20 pin female plug, you'd need to borrow the S-1556N tool (which I have).
Let me know...glad to help.

They do tap into the CD changer interface...
I'll check the Dension installation manual to see exacly what I need to remove. If I need to borrow your tools, I will more than happily pay shipping both ways. Hopefully it won't be necessary, but I can't thank you enough for your kind offer.

Where are you located...alternatively, is there anywhere else where i might be able to pick up the tools?

Can the Denison Icelink plug into the CD changer output in the trunk, or is it only to the headunit?
