Default Laser Jammer Installed next to V1.

I have finished my Bel LaserPro 904 installation. I have Valentine1 for two years and was involved in at least three encouters with lidar. So I decided to get a laser jammer. Note: laser jammers are not radar jamers and are technically legal in most of the states. I choose Bel, because it has the same transponders, as more expencive Escort, but cost only 230USD. This model has two front transponders and one rear. I installed front transponders in the front lower grill so they will protect both the license plate and headlights. All I had to do is to cut one wall in the grill and attach the transponder's mount to the bolt of the radiator mount. Here, how it looks from close distance:

note, the transponder is really deep behind the grill, so you cannot see it when you stending up. Here is another picutre from 6' tall cop's point of view:

I have tried to put the rear transponder on the license plate, but it was to obvious. I ended up putting it on the botom of the tailgate glass. As you can see,it is barelly noticable:

Before installing BelProLaser 904, I had to keep my Valentine1 on windshield so it will get good lidar visibility. Now I do not need V1 laser sensitivity. I moved it into the middle of the rear seat headrest and covered with very thin scarf:

I have used 10' long phone cable with two RJ11 connectors to connect the V1's main unit to the power source and remote display. I also left the original hard wired cable next to the rear view mirror. Both cables are connected to the V1 power supply though the RJ11 Y splitter. So I can use my V1 from any of these two positions.

Now I had to test the radio sensitivity of V1 in the rear headrest. I found a "PhotoRadar" unit with K band radar. My car was parked 100 yards away under 30 degrees angle toward the radar. In addition car and radar was separated by bushes. With Valentine 1 on windshield, the strength of signal was one "dot". I get the same strength signal, when I put main unit into the read headrest and covered it with the scarf.

I also noticed, that front antenna of the V1 is more sensitive, then the rear one. I could not get even a "single dot", when I pointed at the test radar with the V1's rear antenna.

In general I am satisfied with the result. Now I need to find, how to test the laser jamer .

PS you can see the control units for both V1 and LaserPro 904 in my signature. I will post picture with my GPS antenna and ProjectEZP running on Palm pilot shortly.

Cool! Now what do you do when the cop looks into your car and notices the remotes on your dash?
