The MAF extended warraty has been discussed many times here, and it seems
that the general consensus is that the MAF is covered by an extended 7 year/70,000 miles warranty. Does anyone actually have a copy of a letter sent form AoA or some type of TSB ID number that I can reference?

just bought a MAF from ebay for $40...its from a VW but is supposed to work on the 2.7T also
The last 7 digits of the part numbers are the same...i'll let you guys know if it works after i get it. I only paid $40 on ebay....

the reason i ask is because I'm going to descreen my MAF, and I read that someone's MAF sensor
died right after they did the descreen, so just to cover my ***, I wanted to make sure. =)
