Default New answer for the classic NOOB "What could cause my check engine light?" question...

17947 - Clutch Pedal Switch (F36): Implausible Signal
P1539 - 35-00 - -

This actually manifested itself for a day or so (including throwing the code) before the MIL tripped.

Symptoms: revs will not immediately drop (actually rise ~100rpm) on release of gas and depression of clutch pedal. Annoying with low rpm shifts, d*mn near impossible to do higher rpm shifts smoothly.

Amazing the inputs DBW considers when playing reindeer games with your throttle plate!
