LZ recall notice - Emission Control System/Oxygen sensor replacement
I received a recall notice today - here are a few details:
Emissions Recall LZ - Reprogramming of Engine Control Module and/or Replacement of Malfunctioning Oxygen Sensor. This is for 2003 A6 2.7T or Allroad 2.7T.
The EPA has determined the oxygen sensor can fail - causing your vehicle to exceed emission standards or increased fuel consumption.
The oxygen sensor failure could be caused by "thermal shock" within the sensor caused by moisture accumulation.
The dealer will check the system; reset the module, and replace the oxygen sensor if necessary.
Sounds like a very simple job - I haven't experienced any problems; and my gas mileage has been within expectations.

Got the same one yesterday. Envelope with big red border so its..
hard to miss it in the stack of mail. Lets see. I've had this car for 15 months and been through two recalls already. Not a good start to my first Audi experience.

Does this LZ recall apply to other years???
I've been noticing that my CEL comes on and off intermittently and I'm almost pos. that it's my O2 sensor.
TIA for any further info.
