Default Can't find a recent Post on how CA DMV regis fee is calculated...

On my 2000 2.7T, its going to $548 from the current $234.

Default Divide it by 3. Gov. Arnold repealed the trippling

of the car tax on his first day in office. Check the DMV web site, they should post instructions for that soon.

If you renew on-line, there is suppossed to be a calculator avail. to determine new fee.

Default DMV is suppose to have a calculator availible some time next week. I think it

will work out to current total they say you owe x .675 then minus that answer from the current total. 548 x .675 = 370 then 548 - 370 or 548-370=178

You get back 67.5% of what you paid. I'm expecting $500+. Rebates won't happen until spring.

Default The calculator is on the DMV site now.

sweet...mine was 424, now 170 ; now, gotta worry about the Smog.
