Audi A6 dash disassembly
I am trying to install handicap hand controls and it requires me to disassemble the bottom cover
under the drivers side of dash. I have taken cover
off to the point where it is still connected to the lower front half of dash hanging down. How does the lower half of dash disassembles from upper half of dash?? Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

This is how an A8 works
I don't know which panel you are talking about....but here's how to get the A8 lower dash panel off at the URL below.

Here's how...
There is a small piece of black plastic trim located near the lower part of the display..and just above the steering wheel. You can pull it off with a 2 inch plastic putty knife.
Once it is off, you'll see two screws holding the lower piece of the dash in place. This should be the only roadblock.
Good luck!!
See this link for some pictures.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/int38.shtml">https://www.audiworld.com/tech/int38.shtml</a</li></ul>

Like this..
Remove the cover above the steering column at the instrument cluster. Remove the 2 8mm bolts. Remove the fuse panel cover. There is an 8mm bolt near the rear of that opening. There is another 8mm bolt at the bottom near the center tunnel hump. There is another 8mm bolt on the lower side left. At this point the panel sould pull straight back and swing down. If you need to take it completely out to get it out ot the way, there are one or two electrical plugs to disconnect, otherwise just lay it on the floor. Hope this helps.
