I'd like to have the cluster lit; this is one reason I turn on the parking lights at day.
Do you have a link to that instructions? A 2002, hmmm... I would be pleasantly surprised if it works on a pre-2002 A6. Do tell.

Stoney - here's the link, there was some further dialogue about it only working on A4s, and -->
not on any pre-2002 models (that one came from Uwe himself) but I still want to take a crack at it and see if it could work on my '00.

hi guys, my instrument cluster is fading, PLEASE HELP!!
Hi guys,
I just bought a 98 A6 2.8L, 90K, 3 weeks ago, loved everything about it, everything works.....until 3 days ago....when the instrument cluster red multi-display started to fade at the top left corner (the place where it display the CD and Track record). I left it for a few more days and the whole display deteriorated and starts to have horizontal black-out lines across the display (especially during day time when the temp is about 100F). In the beginning, I thought that some of the display's light source might have been blown, but then last night when its cooler, all the black line disappeared but the top left corner got a little worse, now I cannot even make out the word "CD" anymore! PLEASE HELP, any explanation and suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
