Magnaflow Round vs Oval

Magnaflow Round vs Oval
Has anyone out there tried a oval 4x9 or 5x8 Magnaflow's on there 4.2 or 2.7T? I know some of you have gone with the 6" round but since some exhaust systems, like SuperSprint, have rear oval mufflers I thought maybe I could go with the oval Magnaflow.

i think GIACUser had the ovals, said they produced a ton of resonance.
then again, the Magnaflow rounds are straight thru with perforated walls. Looks like you can pass a tennis ball right thru it.
In hindsight, the 4*9's would keep less of the muffler from protruding visibly under the rear valence. Sort of my only complaint when I am want to be in a stealthy mood. I think I'd rather not have the mufflers visible at all.

I'd go with the smaller round ones. I could deal with a little more sound also.
The guy I had to the work did a nice job of tucking the mufflers under there, but the smaller mufflers would be an even better fit. Not to mention that they will be less of a restriction and have more sound : )

I love em, every valet guy that turns over the car has that 'daaaammmnn' expression..
sweet, I love em. They just keep growing on me more and more too.

Haha. Yeah I was sort of surprised how much sound they put out.
The service writter pulled my car up last time I was at the shop and I couldn't believe how good it sounded : ) Then I had my friend punch it when he dropped me off at the airport - it really sounds nice at WOT. I just wish I could hear more inside the car. I'm sure the V8 is much louder.

John at HottExhaust.com said the ovals should be a little..
quieter than rounds. I sent John a picture, that 2.7tDallas sent me, that showed the 6" round next to the stock muffler. I'm looking at a oval that is offset/center. John said looking at the stock muffler the offset/center should work but I want to see if someone has already done it.

like I said, I'll get a buddy to film the car wailing buy so you can hear it at WOT, and also a good revving too.
