H-sport sway bars upgarde **WARNING FOR 2003 OWNERS**
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/5503/picture_027.1.jpg"></center><p>everyone on the shop was really impressed with the quality of the bars and the fittings.
Install was pretty simple on a lift. but might be a little difficult on jackstands.
There was one isseu, and that is the new revised 2003 lower pan cover must be notched to clear the bar on both sides. It was a small notch, but if you do this, you need to make your installer aware. (see bad pic for one of the notches
this mod also transformed the car. I did expect the car to corner much flatter, which it did. But it really settled down the slight bouncyness I got after the eibach install aslo.
In everyday driving, the car feels much more repsonsive, and less boaty!
(BTW - my old bars are for sale for $100 shipped for the pair. These are the same bars as the 2000-2002 sport suspension!)*********
Cost - Bars $325 on group but
Labor 1 to 1.5 hours
Rating - 9!<ul><li><a href="http://www.h-sport.com/frames/audi/a-6.htm">http://www.h-sport.com/frames/audi/a-6.htm</a</li></ul>

We installed them at my shop yesterday. Some observations
The OE links that attach the bars to the subframe are tweaked outwards, because the larger bars lack the proper angle on the ends. This may be the reason that some peeps say their car is higher...because the bar is binding on the links due to the severe angle.
The rear bar doesn't have the rear supports that the Nuespeed bar has to prevent the frame from cracking where the bar bolts on to it. I don't know if the frame will last with all the extra force that that the bib bar will exsert. I know on the S4/A4's the frame cracked, which is why they came out with the support brackets to begin with....
Will it make the car handle better...sure. But I'm not too sure what the long term effects will be. My guess is that the OE links will not last very long. As for the rear frame needing the supports, I'm not sure. It is pretty much the same as the S4 though...
I would use the soft setting only on the rear bar until this is settled.

what year car did you intall them on? Did it have the plastic or metal links
Did you get an S4 up in the air to see if the subframe was the same? If it was, did you install the Nuspeed supports? If you are worried about the links binding, and the subframe cracking isn't that a safety issue? yet you toook this guys money and sent him on his merry way?
Your opinions are certainly valuable, but they will have little credability if you continue to "negative sell" against the competition.
My suggestion is you position yourself as a RESOURCE instead of apearing just to talk down what you do not sell, and talk up what you do

What are you talking about? I don't sell any suspension. I just install it. I was giving my input after 20 years of experiance. Perhaps I wont any more if guys like you feel the need to attack me for no reason..I just gave you some valuable info, and you need you complain. WTF?
You make it sound like I did something wrong by installing what I was asked to. Give me a break. Even if the links broke, that isn't my responsibility, especially after I warned the customer about it! I did my job by warning him about potential problems. It was his supplied parts I installed, and we followed the directions as always.
The DTS vs the Snub is another story, but again, what I say is true.
The car had plastic links.
