Here's a part number for those stoneguard films just forward the rear wheel wells
The topic of those-ever yellowing stoneguard-like films, mounted just forward the rear wheel wells has been brought up a few times here, in the last couple weeks. Mine were very badly yellowed on my white '00 A6 Avant, a real eye sore. I had my car in for detailing today, and asked the detailer to change the offending films. I thought he would be using some material from Stoneguard, and cutting it to size. Instead, he got OEM parts from a local Audi dealer to do the job. For the moment, I have only the vehicle ride-side film part number, because the dealer managed to deliver two right-side films.
That part number is:
4B0 809 388 B
The official OEM description, according to the label, is to refer to this part as a "foil".
I will should have the left side part number tomorrow, but I suppose anyone can obtain it by using the right side # as a reference. The detail shop charged me $28 in change for the pair, I don't know whether he marked them up, or not. But I suppose a call to Clair would come up with the answer. What surprised me here, when I asked my local dealer about replacing these films under warranty a year or so ago, I was told that such a replacement part does not exist. Well, now I know otherwise.

Okay, that's a good point-this part for base a6/A6 Avant
In any case, Audi calls this part a "foil". Let us know if it turns out that the 4.2's get a different #. I would assume, however, that the same "foil" that fits base A6's will also fit the
2.7Ts'.
2.7Ts'.

Ive posted this a few times...
The other part # is the same except replace the last leter B with A.........a & b, makes sense. Anyway, they are $12/ea so you paid about cost. I had one replaced by my body shop once and it was OEM pre cut Audi goods. Just thought I'd add my ¢.02
