Default My car is haunted...

Wife parked car yesterday and locked it. Came back to parking lot, all the windows were rolled completely down. Parks car in our parking space, the car this morning has all its windows down again! Took it immediately to New Country Audi in Connecticut and drove loaner to work. Got call from service manager and he tells me thay parked the car in front of the dealer and again, all the windows were rolled down when they came back to it! He has no idea what the problem is. I think it must be a coding problem. However, I have never had the code wherein you can raise or lower the windows using the remote.

Any ideas???? Is my car haunted???

Default hahahah, had the same ghost last week

It is the control module in the driver's door lock. If you take the door panel off and unplug the module, the ghost will go away. One catch, the drivers side door power locks will not work but the rest of the cars locks will work. The module is about $250 and I guess labor is about 2 hours. Rather quite scary to see all the windows and locks go by themselves.

Default 2003 A4...

New Country is pretty good about loaners, 3 '03 A4's and 1 2000 A6 so far.

Default That was a common problem for MY98 cars over in Europe.

I believe the original issue was an electrical short in the system. But hard to imagine that has not been fixed and carried into MY02.

Default audi suggested turning off "total closure".......

using vagcom to solve this problem. (windows all close if you hold the lock key on the remote down)

have you heard of this fix? do you know how to do it with vagcom. cant seem to get any useful info from bentley....

thanks
