Default New recall notice. Audi making an effort to improve owner experience?

I received a recall notice in the mail today. Audi is offering to fix:

1. The front fascia so it will not pull off on curbs, etc. (You are also invited to seek a refund if you had to fix it!)

2. Headlight squirt nozzles so they will not fly off.

3. Loose trim parts.

None of these were mandatory, so I can only assume that Audi is making a positive overture to its customers.

Default a buddy's melange '99 A6 2.8's bumper fell off too.

$800 for new bumper, incl. paint & install.

he'd be happy with this news.

Default "loose trip parts" - what does that mean? headliner, etc.?

so this was an official AoA mailing?

could you maybe scan it and post? I think I just want to see it with my own eyes...

did it make any mention to specific models/years?

thanks...

Default This should interesting for myself. I have had to pay twice for this repair.

The first time cost me about $100 to fix the front bumper, the second time I had to use insurance to have the thing replaced it was so badly damaged.

Bumper pull-off was design flaw on only '98-'99s, right? Why would you receive letter on your '00?
