Default OEM-"like" cellphone bracket for A6/S6/allroad

Folks,
I stumbled upon this website last weekend. Like many of you, my A6 did not come with the optional OEM cellphone.
I've been trying to find a place to keep my cellphone when I am driving and my center console is getting too cluttered. This bracket looked appealing because it would allow me to see the incoming call# before I answer it. I could others using this bracket as a place to mount their PDA or iPOD.

Bottom line: My phone just needs a home for when I'm using my headset. I didn't want anything that required me to glue, screw or cut into the dashboard.

Other options:
Clairparts sells a molded console phone holder that mounts under the Tiptronic face-plate. For $80 bucks it was something that I was considering. However, I think it will be a bit awkward for the person in the passenger seat. Then again, that is just my opinion.

The part #'s (all same for A6/S6/allroad and possibly A4):
- AUD-104-00 (the bracket)
- SIT-102 (DIN radio removal tool - assume an extra charge)
I've sent an email to sales@bracketron.com to find out how to purchase one of these. I can see this bracket being more than $30 bucks.

I'll keep you posted.

Default I have one - they're great

There have been posts on these before. The company is called pro-fit international. The install took me about 20 minutes.

Now - if only we could get the chevy suburban crowd to use these . . .

Default Looks like it's the Pro-fit model..

Check out the link below. I had a Motorola V60 professional kit installed by Verizon and they ordered the Pro-Fit mount specific to my A6. It looks identical to what you're looking for. Verizon orders these on a regular basis for their hands free installations. See my sig for a pic of the finished product. Cost is about $35 for just the mount. The V60 professional car kit is now $200 installed by verizon.

http://www.pro-fit-intl.com</a

Thanks. "Bracketron LLC" doesn't handle '99s. These guys do.

Default Or you can go with this wireless set up for $20 ;-)

I always have the drink holder open.... so it's not an burden. It's the Belkin phone holster, which clips onto the outside of the drink holder. The little headset is bluetooth, so I have zero wires hanging around, plus it's pretty simple to take it and go.

This looks like an excellent solution. A couple of questions:

(1) Does it appreciably interfere with the passenger space? (Have you sat in the passenger seat and tried it?)

(2) Does it interfere with the cupholder? (or does the cupholder interfere with it? -- i.e. can you plug and unplug the phone if there is a cup in the cupholder?)

Does that get in the way of opening the glove compartment?
Thanks
